I am a 44 yr older father of a gay son (19) who convinced me to read your book. I just finished it. I am open minded enough to enjoy the more seedy aspects, but what I really drew from it was the intense love and admiration you have for each other. To top that off the respect you have for each other and for the ones you choose to (or at least write about) bring into your bedroom. I have never had an affair or added others to my bedroom so I don’t get that aspect, but at the same time I kind of really get it. That would not have been possible without your story. It is well written and I like that you went back and forth to really reinforce to the reader that you are each one part of a single unit.
I appreciate your story and kind of ‘fell in love’ with you because you made it feel so genuine and real. If I have one negative…I would have loved an epilogue. I would love to have seen where FratBoy and Billy ended up. While I recognize their lives are dynamic, something said to me that they became close, that maybe Billy went to college and has a job that makes him happy…that FratBoy is living life as large as he did while in college….something to just tell the reader that life for them is good and that their lives have been touched, enhanced, sweetened…for having experienced you two and what you are all about.
Cole…I am a good man, a loving husband and father…and I feel I pale in comparison to you in the love you shower Hunter with and the figure and ‘lover’ you became to the boys.
